Nelson Wissar
Creative Director and Co-Founder of Zeppelin Content Creation Studio, with more than 17 years of experience directing and producing high-end animation. He has led creative and production teams on internationally recognized projects, earning awards such as LIA, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Ideas Perú, Ideas Miami, LAD, and MTV.
Before founding Zeppelin, he spent 11 years as a creative at agencies including Leo Burnett (now Circus), Quorum Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Mayo FCB, Publicidad Causa, and Pragma D’Arcy, where his work also received recognition at festivals such as Cannes, FIAP, London Festivals, and APAP.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading brands including BCP, Rímac, Pacífico, Gloria, Laive, and Grupo AJE, as well as international clients such as CDM New York, VaynerMedia, Moonbug UK, República Havas Miami, VML Houston, Morgana Estudios, and Telos Media UK
Henry Gates
Creative Director and founding partner of Zeppelin, Henry is an artist with more than twenty years of experience and is an expert in the field of visual effects, art direction, compositing, and color grading.
In 2007 he was invited to one of the biggest animation festivals in the world “Animamundi 2007” Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he was chosen to be part of the workshop “Creating Believable Characters” with Pixar’s Animation Director, Mark Walsh.
In 2008 he was finalist in the prestigious competition “Pasaporte para un artista”, organized by the French Embassy in Lima, with the video installation “Presencia ausente”. He also has several awards for short films produced and directed by himself such as “Turn On” which won several prizes and was exhibited in some of the major global film and animation festivals: Clermont Ferrand (France), Animamundi (Brazil), FIAK (Japan) Berlinale (Germany) etc.
The same year, he also directed the music video of the song “Transmisor” for the band “Catervas” which was in rotation for several months on MTV.
Also in 2008 he was selected to be part of the Talent Campus of the prestigious Berlin Film Festival “Berlinale”, where he took workshops with film personalities such as the renowned German director Wim Wenders, or the actors Tilda Swinton and Willem Dafoe.
In 2012 co-directed along with Nelson Wissar, the commercial for the Peruvian League Against Cancer: “Coffins”, which made them award winners as “best directors in the region (Peru)” in the prestigious advertising festival “El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2012” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Where they also were awarded with “El Ojo de Oro” for the best animated commercial of Latin America.
In 2015 he participated from Lima in the International Biennial of Digital Art “The Wrong” (Again), with the video-installation entitled “One” that was a co-creation with Javier Castillo (Vicho) and Santiago Pillado-Matheu, under the curatorship of Johann Velit.
In 2019, he co-directed, together with Nelson Wissar, the main commercial for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, a commercial that won the silver trophy at the IDEAS advertising festival organized by the Peruvian Association of Advertising Agencies (APAP).
In February 2020 he was invited by the prestigious platform “Doméstika” to teach along with Nelson Wissar, the online course “Conceptualization and animation in Animation”.
From 2016 to date, Henry has been collaborating as a visual artist with the cultural project based in Lima, Bulbo, creating video mappings and visual installations in different events and exhibitions.
Today, Zeppelin is one of the most important advertisement production companies in Perú.
Orlando Alegre
Creative Director with more than 15 years of experience in animation, advertising, and visual storytelling. He currently serves as Animation Director at Zeppelin Producciones, leading projects for high-profile brands across Peru, Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
Specializing in 2D animation, motion graphics, and post-production, he has an extensive track record of directing multidisciplinary teams for campaigns spanning broadcast media, social platforms, cinema, and music videos. His portfolio includes work for brands such as Rímac, BCP, Entel, Puma LATAM, Hyundai, and VeeFriends (USA), among many others.
For more than eight years, he has also taught at institutions including IPAD and PUCP, combining industry expertise with the training of new generations of animators and advertising professionals. His approach brings together compelling storytelling, strategic thinking, and creative leadership.
He is currently driving Zeppelin’s international growth, with a forward-looking vision focused on results, short-form content, and the integration of artificial intelligence as a powerful tool for storytelling.
